The city of Gary project expands

Gary, Michael’s hometown, has long been considering reopening a museum of his memorabilia and those of other Jackson family members.

Before Michael’s death, a stagecraft training center was also added to the plan. And now, six months after Michael’s passing, the project has expanded with the addition of an amusement park in the style of Neverland—Michael’s ranch. Add to this a 300-room hotel that is expected to be built on land of approximately 80 acres.

The debate is whether to run special tour buses for visitors to tour around the old Jackson family home on Jackson Street 2300, or to build a similar version of it and place it in the museum.

It is expected that this project will be launched this year. It has been said that the cost of the plan will likely be around one billion dollars, and the implementation time will be 10 years. The city mayor, Rudy Clay, introduced two institutions last October to collect public donations to participate in building this project. To fund this plan, it is expected that the tax rate in this city will increase.
