Sony’s This Is It Celebration at CES
At its booth at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Sony brought out Travis Payne, a choreographer and Michael’s collaborator for the This Is It concert tour, along with two dancers from that tour, to the stage to showcase a live performance in honor of the release of the Blu-ray DVD This Is It.
Sony also displayed a scene from the film related to the new video Smooth Criminal. In this video—made by Michael for broadcast during his concerts in London—he performs alongside Humphrey Bogart, Rita Hayworth, and Edward G. Robinson in scenes from old films using green-screen technology.
The Blu-ray DVD of the film includes 90 minutes of new and unseen footage that is not present in the theatrical version. This DVD will be released starting January 26. For information on the exact release date of this film in other countries, click.
