RedOne Pursues the Release of Michael’s Songs

RedOne, the 37-year-old Moroccan producer whose real name is Nadir Khayat, spent the years 2008 in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and 2009 in Los Angeles, working on several songs with Michael Jackson. Today, he is one of the best music producers. Even though the songs are not finished, Khayat believes he has so many good tracks that he could release an album of them—though any action would require the approval of the Michael Jackson Foundation and his recording company. He says: “If I release something, I’ll donate the money to charity so that Michael can feel proud of this work. Throughout Michael’s life, others always took advantage of him to get money.” “The songs we were making were good—really good and full of energy. Uplifting and morale-boosting. It’s sad that we couldn’t finish the work.” “Michael always focused on making top-tier songs, not just songs. That’s why he always made a huge number of tracks and selected the best among them. That was his formula, and I love it.” Source: eMJey / Reuters
