Michael: MTV Man of the Year

MTV has selected Michael as its Man of the Year for 2009. The basis for this choice was the sales of his songs, box office performance, news headlines, traffic, and several other factors. In MTV news, it says:

"Michael Jackson was one of the great constants. We will probably never see someone like him again. A man so great that his death stopped the world in its tracks. He was an innovator. The creator of the greatest songs. A pioneer. He is the undisputed king of pop music. For now and forever."
