A new package of unreleased Jackson 5 material

This new CD is titled I Want You Back! Unreleased Masters, and it will be released to the market on November 10 by Motown, and it will also be available to purchase online. There are 12 unreleased tracks on this CD.

Earlier, on October 6, That’s How Love Is—one of the songs from this CD—was released on the iTunes website to promote the album. That means that on the night of the release of I Want You Back, 40 years ago (October 7, 1969), this track was made available. The song can be heard on the www.jackson۵.com website. One of the songs on this album is a collaboration between the Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder titled Buttercup, which was announced with a lot of noise in 1974, but was never released. Also added to this album are two studio performances—one is a medley of I Want You Back/ABC/The Love You Save, and the other is a version of Never Can Say Goodbye—both recorded for a TV program, but were not aired because Michael withdrew from participating due to security concerns. Michael was supposed to have a live on-stage performance in that program. These two songs have never been heard until now. Two other songs on the album are a longer version of Dancing Machine and the original, vocal version of ABC. Besides That’s How Love Is, Love Comes In Different Flavors and Lucky Day are among the group’s unreleased songs included on this album. Two beautiful, almost forgotten tracks—Man’s Temptation, a composition written by Curtis Mayfield, and Listen I’ll Tell You How, a work by Bobby Taylor—as well as Love Call written by Willie Hutch, which was rejected in 1971, and I’ll Try You’ll Try—Maybe We’ll All Get By, written by Johnny Bristol, have also been added to the album. A number of never-before-released group photos will also be released along with this album.
