Sony Submits This Is It for Oscar Consideration

Sony will submit the film This Is It to the Academy Awards for consideration for Best Picture. An Academy of Science and Arts spokesperson said that at the end of the seventh day of release, the film could be nominated in categories such as Best Sound Recording, Best Editing, and Best Picture.
