Neverland Products Won’t Be Released
Roger Friedman had reported that Thomas Barak, Michael’s partner in the Neverland property, was planning to sell products bearing the Neverland logo. Now Friedman says the decision in this matter is up to Michael’s lawyers, who are also very cautious about using Michael Jackson’s name for commercial work. It doesn’t seem we’ll see toy guns or other items with the Neverland logo.
Friedman wrote:
"It seems that Colony Capital’s efforts to exploit Michael after his death are coming to an end. The Jackson attorneys—John Branca and John McClain—are steadfast in protecting Michael’s image and their efforts. No first-aid items will be released under the name ‘Heal The World’—Michael’s charity institute—or alarm clocks with the ‘Remember The Time’ logo—Michael’s video—or vanity tables with the ‘Man In The Mirror’ emblem—Michael’s song."
