The accuser must tell the truth

D’Zaja Pryor is the former girlfriend of Chris Tucker. Chris, a Black actor from the film Rush Hour, was a close friend of Michael Jackson. D’Zaja spent a lot of time with that family during the period when the Arvizo family were guests at the Neverland ranch. She later spoke again in a fresh interview with Access Hollywood about the family that abused Michael in 2003 and accused him—while he was innocent—of sexually abusing the family’s 13-year-old son, named Gavin Arvizo. She had previously, in an open letter addressed to this family and especially Gavin—who is now 19—called them liars and said they should step forward and clear Michael’s name of their filthy accusations. In her interview, Pryor said the Arvizo family told her that Michael Jackson’s help had saved Gavin, who was suffering from cancer, from death. Pryor believes the accusations from this family were entirely fabricated by the greedy, self-interested minds of the family. The Arvizo accusations changed Michael’s life and the lives of millions of his fans around the world. After the trial ended, Michael left the U.S. for Bahrain and Ireland, then returned to the U.S. After that, he lived in Las Vegas before coming to Los Angeles. He was always looking for a home where he could reach the peace and privacy he wanted. He died in June at his rented home in Bel Air. After being acquitted of all charges in the California Supreme Court—Santa Maria—Neverland, his home, which had been described by the accuser and the prosecutor as the location of the alleged false incidents, he left and never returned. D’Zaja said: “ Following the publication of this letter, I have received very impactful support from all over the world from Michael Jackson fans. I have met people who, like me, believe they must stand up and resist in order to tell the truth, and honor Michael’s legacy away from all these hateful and disgusting lies. I wrote this letter with pure intentions, and it was the simplest letter I have ever written in my life. The support I’ve received proves that I’m taking the right path, and that I truly want Gavin Arvizo to tell the truth in public and clear the name of an innocent, honorable human being of these accusations. I will not stop until I reach this goal. My hope is that when Gavin tells the truth, it will become a lesson for others too, and they will come forward and speak the truth about Michael. We all have choices in life, and we live with those choices. I can’t imagine how the Arvizo family can live with the truth that their choice destroyed the life of such a kind and caring man. They will never find peace unless they do the right thing. I ask all fans to publish this letter. It’s very important that this letter reaches the Arvizo family. Gavin speaking and Michael being acquitted of the accusations made against him is a vital part of healing the wounds of anyone who loved Michael and is now mourning his death. Some say it’s too late. I say it’s better for it to be late than for it never to happen. Michael’s legacy will rule forever and will continue to influence people around the world. The Gavin I know is a brave young man. I know he has the courage to tell the truth, even amid the controversy.” In her previous interviews, she also said: “ I don’t know how they sleep at night. They accused the person they called a friend of the most ugly and heinous acts that can be attributed to anyone. It’s time for the accuser to tell the truth. He knows Michael never did those acts and never abused him.” Pryor and Chris Tucker, who defended Michael against the Arvizo accusations in the 2005 trial, held their son’s birthday celebration at Neverland in those same years. D’Zaja and her child spent a lot of time with the Arvizo family at Neverland and supported Gavin, who had cancer. When asked what her reason is for believing Michael is innocent, she said: “ I was in Neverland with the accuser and his sister and brother. I talked with them several times a day. Those are the same days they say the alleged incidents happened.” Pryor says that one night when Michael wasn’t at Neverland, the Arvizo family’s children stayed in Michael’s room. “ When I thought about the acts the accuser attributed to Michael, I asked myself: which child would want to stay in a room where such things were done to them? I think they wanted Michael to provide them with more money and do more for them.”

D’Zaja Pryor’s open letter: July 4, 2009 Gavin (the accuser), Star, Dawlin, and Jannet (the family’s mother) After Michael’s tragic death last week, I have to tell you that all my bad feelings toward your family and the cruel accusations you, Gavin, and your mother, Jannet, made against Michael have been revived in me with ten times the intensity compared to before. The pain, despair, anger, and betrayal I felt from you can’t be described. You showed me that your greed, your lies, and your personal interest destroyed every moral principle you claimed to have. And you proved that you are the kind of people who turn their backs on someone who reaches out to them when they need help and when they have no hope. The fact that you used lies to accuse Michael of the ugliest acts and turned his life into hell is unimaginable, and I’m sure that, from the perspective of some people, it’s unforgivable. In your attempt to destroy him again, you accused the man you called your “best friend,” Gavin, of acts that you (like everyone else) knew would completely turn his life upside down. You put your finger on something we all knew Michael cared about most for most of his life… children. Especially children who were suffering. And you tried to make it look bad. You, Jannet, as a mother, allowed this to happen, encouraged it, created these terrible lies, and tried to destroy Michael and make money off him. Shame on you! The only thing he did was help you in the worst period of your lives. Michael was family to me. We all fell for your emotional stories, and at the same time that Gavin was fighting for his life against cancer, we committed ourselves to helping you. Gavin, you told me that Michael’s love saved you from cancer. All of you worshiped Michael in secret and spoke against him in public with the utmost bad temper. I stayed silent for years, but I can no longer stay silent. Now, with all the anger I have toward you inside me, and all the pain I feel for the Jackson family, I’m struggling to write this letter with words worthy of the situation. I ask you to do something for Michael after his death that you never did while he was alive. You must completely clear his name and legacy of the horrible and hateful accusations you made against him. Claims and accusations that you and I both know are completely false and utterly ridiculous. Whatever motives you had at the time are now insignificant and meaningless. This is about something far more important than you. We are talking about the legacy of this man. A man who made a positive impact on the lives of people all over the world. A man who will be the greatest entertainer and showman the world has ever seen. Michael was the one who shared in your family’s suffering and sadness. He welcomed you into his home and made you part of his family. He was a human being who deserved none of these events. Gavin and Jannet, you can change your identity and hide yourselves from people’s investigations and scrutiny, but in the end you can’t escape God’s anger and justice. Gavin, you’re 19 now, and you’re no longer that teenage boy who was guided and controlled by his mother; and you’re no longer a chess piece in the plot to assassinate Michael’s character. Do the right thing and clear Michael’s name of all these accusations once and for all. You owe Michael for this. You owe his family for this. And you owe God for this. Make it so Michael can finally be at peace.
