Dr. Murray had given Michael pain medication

This pain medication is given to patients who are about to undergo surgery to calm them down. Strong anti-anxiety drugs such as Valium and Xanax are from the same family as this painkiller. Murray said the dose of the injectable pain medication given to Michael was within the normal range, but specialists say that the presence of pain medication increases the effect of propofol on breathing difficulty and suffocation. The police have not said which member of the benzodiazepine family was injected into Michael. Murray said Michael was not breathing on the morning of June 25, and he was unable to revive him.
