Celebrating Michael in Austria

A grand celebration for the King of Pop is set to be held in Vienna, Austria, in late September. It is said that the event will also be broadcast live worldwide. Prominent artists will be invited to perform Michael’s songs at the ceremony. Earlier, it was expected that the celebration would take place in London, but Jermain, on Larry King’s program on CNN the week before, named Vienna as the location. In that program, Jermain said he had invited many prominent artists, and they will perform in honor and respect for his “dear brother.” He also expressed hope that this celebration would be the first concert in a series of annual charity concerts held to keep his brother’s “legacy of humanity” alive. A significant portion of the revenue from this three-hour concert will be donated to three charities. Jermain estimates that one billion people will watch the event—an amount similar to what was seen at the July 7 memorial for Michael at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Source: eMJey / AP
