A Statement from Mrs. Jackson’s Lawyer
On Monday, Lendell McMillan, the lawyer for Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, released a statement in which he said that Mrs. Jackson has no objection to Michael’s will and the lawyers chosen to carry it out.
The statement is in response to rumors claiming that Katherine asked the court for time to object to the will. McMillan said that neither Mrs. Jackson nor any of her lawyers has any objection to the will. He said Mrs. Jackson’s priority is to obtain custody rights over all three of her sons’ children—Michael’s children.
McMillan announced that they will cooperate with the lawyers selected by Michael to implement his will. However, McMillan called the lawyers chosen by Michael “temporary.” Katherine Jackson, last Friday, signed a form stating that any possible objection she might have in the future to the appointed lawyers would not mean an objection to the contents of the will.
