Michael’s Will Was Read in Court

Today, July 1, Michael’s will was read in court. In his will, Michael Jackson asked his mother to take custody of all three of his children after his death, and if his mother died before him or was unable to carry out this duty, custody of the children would go to Diana Ross. Also, along with the will, there is an official document stating that the value of Michael’s assets is more than $500 million. The document says that almost all of Michael’s wealth consists of non-cash assets, including the Sony/ATV catalog and shares in various institutions. This will places the ownership of Michael’s assets and wealth in the hands of his three children. John Branca, John McClain, and Barry Siegel were mentioned as the executors of the will. Branca is Michael’s lawyer and McClain is the manager in charge of his music-related business. Siegel was also his accountant. Siegel resigned from his management position on Michael’s team in 2003.
