Conrad Murray: Suspected of Michael’s Murder
Dr. Conrad Murray—the physician who was with Michael Jackson at the moment of his death and had tried to bring him back to life—is suspected of murder. So far, police have questioned him twice as a witness. But now they are looking to question him again, this time as a murder suspect. On Wednesday, police officers searched his office in Houston and seized items from it.
Conrad Murray is a cardiology specialist with no negative record in his medical file, except for one case related to the suspension of his medical practice at a Houston hospital. Police have not said why his license was suspended.
Ed Winter, deputy chief medical examiner, said that on Thursday he questioned seven or eight doctors who treated Michael Jackson, but he has not yet been able to speak with Conrad Murray. He said they don’t want to talk to his lawyer—they want Murray himself. In response to Winter’s comments, Murray’s lawyer said that so far they have not asked him to speak with his client.
