Michael Jackson’s will

It is said that Michael, in a will that is in John Branca’s possession and dates back to 2002, divided his assets and property between his mother and his three children. One or more charitable institutions also receive a share of Michael’s assets according to this will. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, several sources close to Michael say that this is the only will of Michael that is currently in his lawyer’s hands—John Branca. However, Landel McMillan, who was hired on behalf of Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, says Michael’s parents have not yet seen the will mentioned. It is not clear whether Michael said anything in this will about the custody of his children. In this will, John Branca and John McClain are named as executors. John Branca, who was Michael’s lawyer from 1985 to 2006, says he prepared this will at Michael’s instruction. The largest part of Michael Jackson’s fortune is the Sony/ATV catalog, worth more than $2 billion, in which Michael is a partner with Sony. Michael’s share in this partnership is fifty percent. The songs by The Beatles and Elvis Presley are also part of this catalog. Source: eMJey / AccessHollywood / Wall Street Journal
