Ortega says about the phone call he received from Michael to direct the concerts:

"My answer to the offer to work with Michael was immediate: nothing would be able to stop me from taking part in these concerts. Working with Michael on the Dangerous and History tours were two of the biggest experiences of my life. Being invited to collaborate with him again is a dream come true for me. Working with Michael is always a real, complete collaboration. He is a creative mastermind. He provides the most professional people to lead his team, and then he impresses each and every one of us so we can move up to higher steps, step out of the usual mold, and overcome new challenges. He is the most remarkable artist, showman, and entertainer of our time."

Ortega says about the concerts: "Our goal is to create something more than a music concert. In other words, a fun musical show. Stage design, choreography, costumes, lighting, special techniques, and overall everything will be at the highest standard. Michael is very excited to go on stage in front of hundreds of thousands of his fans."

"I go to work every day with great pleasure in anticipation of what’s about to happen. Michael, me, and the team come up with a new idea, and we’re ready to complete it and carry it out. Michael says, ‘Let’s put it off to the next day.’ The next day he returns to the studio, pushes that idea to a higher level, and forces us to get better results."

"I’m very excited to be part of the team that brings back the biggest showman of our time, Michael Jackson, to the stage."
