Former Michael Jackson Spokeswoman Sues Him

With the London concerts successfully selling out all tickets for 50 nights, it now seems like the right time to sue Michael Jackson.

Raymone Bain, who had been Michael Jackson’s spokeswoman since 2003 and in 2005 was hired as the company’s manager and head of his team, filed a legal complaint against him in a Washington court on Tuesday.

Raymone Bain claims that Michael agreed to give her a 10% share from every contract that she signed on his behalf.

She says Michael has not paid her share from negotiations she had carried out for the release of the album Thriller 25, the renewal needed to preserve the Beatles catalog, and for signing a contract to perform London’s summer concerts. Although Ms. Bain had no direct role in the contract Michael signed with AEG Live for 50 concerts in London.

In her lawsuit, Raymone Bain lists the amount Michael owes her as $44 million. In her statement, she said:

"I am very saddened to be suing Michael Jackson, who has been my employer for years and whom I have always greatly respected and admired.

Unfortunately, Mr. Jackson did not fulfill his financial obligations under the contract. My efforts to reach an amicable agreement on this matter failed, and I was forced to file this lawsuit.

But despite the fact that I have been compelled to bring this financial and professional case, when I look back, I do not regret it. Michael Jackson, in my opinion, is the King of Pop, and I wish the best for him and his family."
