Thriller: The Best Album of All Time

The album Thriller was chosen as the best music album of all time among 300 albums. A while back, MTV put a number of music albums up for voting by internet users to find the best among them. MTV Base, MTV Two, and VH1 each suggested 100 albums. From these albums, 10 rock albums, 10 pop albums, and 10 urban albums reached the final round. To choose the number one album, internet users acted as the final judges. Thriller was one of these 30 albums, and in the end it was selected as the best music album in history. 40,000 people took part in the poll, and one third of them voted for Thriller. MTV Base representative Trevor Nelson says about this album: “ I don’t think another album like this will ever appear in our music history again. There won’t be such unity and connection between the producer and the artist, or between the fine details of songwriting and that sense of mass appeal in this way again. With people’s interest in buying music albums declining, no album will be able to sell as much as Thriller.” List of albums by vote: 1. Michael Jackson - Thriller 2. Craig David - Born To Do It 3.
