Michael’s Mural in Los Angeles

Kent Twitchell is famous for his murals of celebrities, which have been painted on many of the walls of Hollywood in the United States. He has been exhibiting his works at the LOOK gallery in Los Angeles since April 2. The exhibition will run until April 27. The exhibition title is “Thriller: The King of Pop Meets the King of Cool” (Thriller: The King of Pop Meets the King of Cool). The second king refers to Steve McQueen. This exhibition features murals of Michael Jackson and Steve McQueen. The giant mural of Michael Jackson is too big for this gallery, so only parts of it are shown. Twitchell, who spent three years building this mural, is unhappy that he has never been able to install it on a wall. This mural was designed in the early 1990s to be installed on a building wall in Hollywood that was previously called Barker Bros and is now called the El Capitan Theatre. But it was never installed. In an interview with the LA Times about Michael’s mural, the artist said: “The colors I used in this mural are the most original and the best among my works.” Twitchell says that to create this mural, he took more than one hundred photos of Michael in the Smooth Criminal outfit. “When I spoke with him, he said he wanted his outfit in this painting to be black leather, but I told him that the Smooth Criminal outfit was more suitable because it evokes the Hollywood vibe of the 1930s. And he welcomed the idea.” The preparations were done at Neverland, Michael’s former home, and then he took Michael to a studio in Hollywood so he could get more photos of him. “I asked Michael to spin so that the tail of his coat would stay suspended in the air, and I could take his picture.
