Seven Thousand People Attend Yesterday’s Conference
According to entertainment.timesonline.co.uk, 7,000 people attended yesterday’s press conference for Michael Jackson at the O2 Arena in London.
It is said that Michael’s concerts begin on July 8, and each show will be a fun, two-hour performance full of dancing and singing. Tickets will go on sale between £50 and £75. Michael will not perform anywhere else this year besides London.
Yesterday, after finishing a four-minute video prepared from his performances, Michael appeared on the O2 stage and said that these concerts would be his last in London. The mentioned video will be broadcast on March 8 at 9:30 PM on ITV during the commercial breaks of Dancing on Ice. Michael will be the first artist to dedicate the entire time of the commercial breaks to a video of himself.
Phillips, president and CEO of AEG Live, says that for the concerts to be profitable, all tickets must be sold by the end.
One AEG manager says Michael is holding these concerts for his children, because they have never seen what Michael does on stage.
Michael will stay in London this week and tonight he will go watch the musical Oliver.
