Michael Jackson Conference Report from London

Michael seemed very happy and upbeat. O2—where these concerts will be held—hosted 21 Prince concerts in 2007, and Britney Spears is also set to perform there for eight nights in June.

There’s still no talk of a tour, but maybe these concerts will be the beginning of a world tour. Michael’s last tour was in 1996 and 97, during which 82 concerts were performed in cities around the world.

Inside the O2 arena, the crowd surged like waves. It was said that between 1,000 and 2,000 people were present there. The fans’ screams were so loud that reporters couldn’t easily interview people. When Michael finally appeared on stage, the audience’s excitement was far greater than before.

People of every age could be seen in the arena—from young people to mothers and fathers who had brought their children, and also older people, which was especially interesting.

The idea that London concerts might be Michael’s final “stage-turning” performances was very shocking for fans. One Iranian fan who had come to the conference looked very sad and down. He had come to the arena with joy and excitement to get energy from good news; but knowing that these were Michael’s last concerts made him gloomy.

All in all, everyone was excited and said they would definitely attend the concerts. No matter how high the ticket prices were, fans would cover the cost in whatever way possible.
