Michael’s Album Sales Soar

The Michael-mania is still going strong. Whether it’s the summer concerts or the American Idol competition, it seems that while Michael has been away from the stage, the world has been missing him—because in recent weeks, Michael’s album sales around the world have risen dramatically. According to Legacy Records figures, The Essential Michael Jackson has topped Billboard’s Pop catalog chart and is also in the top 10 on iTunes. Legacy Records also reported that after the American Idol show aired on TV—featuring Michael’s songs performed by 13 contestants—sales of Michael’s other albums increased by more than three times.
