Mark Lester: Michael Is Eager to Get Started

Mark Lester (Mark Lester), who became a star as a child for playing Oliver Twist in 1968, completely dismissed rumors that Michael is not interested in holding concerts.

The 49-year-old said:

"Michael is completely healthy, and there is no reason to worry about his health.

Since he came to London, I’ve been with him for a long time, and I can assure you that he is perfectly healthy and is counting down the days to return to Los Angeles and begin his preparation workouts for his concerts.

He was talking about performing a series of new things—not new songs, but new dance moves. So I think people will be completely surprised by his shows. He wants to put all his talent to use. He’s eager to get started."

Mark Lester was 10 years old when he played a role in Lionel Bart’s musical film Oliver. He now works as a specialist doctor for bone diseases in the Gloucestershire area.

More than 30 years ago, when the Jackson 5 went to London for concerts, young Michael asked to meet Mark Lester. Since then, the two have developed a deep friendship bond. Michael is the godfather of all four of Mark Lester’s children with Jane, his first wife: 17-year-old Lucy, 15-year-old Harriet, 13-year-old Olivia, and 9-year-old Felix. Mark is now married to his 35-year-old psychologist nurse, Lisa.

On Friday night, March 6, Mark went to watch the musical Oliver with Michael and his children, 11-year-old Paris and 7-year-old Blanket, at the West End Theatre with Rowan Atkinson. Mark says:

"We all had a great time at the theatre. Michael said that Oliver is still his favorite musical. He sang along with some of the show’s songs. After that, we went backstage and met the cast, and Michael was very happy to meet them. He said he’s really enjoying his time in London and is very pleased with the welcome he’s been given. My children get along well with his children, and we all had a great time together. My children can’t wait to see the concerts."
