Concert Dates Announced
Following last week’s announcement by Michael that he would perform a series of concerts in London, registration for tickets to these concerts began through the michaeljacksonlive.com website. It was reported that 16,000 ticket purchase requests were being submitted to the site every second, causing the website to face problems. In the end, an unprecedented number—one million people from 202 countries around the world—were able to successfully register. Michael broke the record again!
Thousands of people from faraway countries such as Australia registered for tickets. In just 48 hours, the number of people who registered from France alone completely filled the O2 Arena. To meet this unprecedented demand, fans were asked to visit www.MichaelJacksonLive.com regularly to stay updated on new developments.
You can also visit www.theo2.co.uk for additional information.
It is also worth noting that fake tickets were prepared and sold. People were asked to trust only the websites that were introduced for purchasing tickets.
To make ticket buying easier, Viagogo has come in with AEG. Fans can safely buy or exchange tickets on Viagogo. Ticket prices are £50, £65, and £75, and a reservation fee is added to that.
The King of Pop said he is coming to London to perform the songs his fans love.
Randy Phillips, president and CEO of AEG Live, who is responsible for organizing these concerts, said: "We are making history here in the entertainment industry. Demand has gone beyond even our most unreasonable expectations, and there’s no doubt it will break records at the box office as well. This is the last chance to see Michael perform in London. At AEG Live, we are doing everything we can to make sure fans are as much a part of this history as possible."
