Michael’s performances on American television

In America’s talent shows from last week, there was a variety of Michael-style performances by young singers and aspiring artists. The first show in the American Idol series, which seeks to discover new music talent, in the winter season of 2009 featured a performance of The Way You Make Mee Feel by Twin Gaine, one of the hopeful contestants. The performance happened with reluctance from all four judges. On another night, it was time for Aza Barnes, and coincidentally her chosen song was also The Way You Make Mee Feel. Her performance was impressive and caused Paula Abdul, one of the judges, to admit: "When people sing Michael’s songs, they usually do terribly. But this was definitely not terrible." On another day, on The Ellen DeGeneres show, an 8-year-old girl named Twin Johnson performed an entertaining version of Blame It On the Boogie. She had also performed I Want You Back earlier.
