Hold My Hand won’t be released on Akon’s album

Akon, the American Black singer, said in an interview with Take 40 that Hold My Hand—his duet with Michael Jackson—will not be released on his new album.

Earlier, it was reported that this song would be included on Akon’s new album. But Akon says the track didn’t make the final cut.

“Hold My Hand leaked online and ruined all the plans we had for the song. Overall, we felt that, considering the kind of collaboration between us—and taking into account that this is Michael’s first return after a long time—we should make sure everything is done right. We decided to work on it more in the future and find another way to come back. Even if we have to return with another song.”
