Michael at an LA antique shop

Michael Jackson stopped at a boutique on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles to shop. But what did he buy?

He was at Off the Wall, an antique shop in West Hollywood that shares the name with his 1979 album. One person inside the store told E!News reporter that Michael bought a model of an airplane made of aluminum. Although he also looked around at other items, he didn’t buy anything else.

Despite the chaos outside the shop, inside Michael seemed completely calm, and according to one witness:

“He was amazing.”

One witness says that when Michael was leaving the store, paparazzi and fans were scattered everywhere.

Another witness says: “He came out of the store and at first held an umbrella over his head. When he got into his car, he lowered the window, stuck his hand out, and started waving and shaking hands with people.”
