Ne-Yo Talks About Michael’s New Album

Before his performance at Hammersmith Apollo, the young Black singer and songwriter Ne-Yo was asked again about Michael Jackson’s new album.

In a conversation with the Daily Mirror, he said:

“Michael’s new album has to be amazing. I’ve suggested a few songs, but we don’t know when the album will be ready. He keeps pushing the date back. Michael is very worried because he knows he’s been assumed to be weak, and people want him to fail. It’s hard when everyone’s eyes are on him and many young competitors have entered the scene. This album has to be better than Thriller. He wants the melodies to be excellent and professional.”

Ne-Yo also said that in his first encounter with Michael, he was terrified:

“My hands had never shaken like that before. But it’s amazing that I was able to work with Beat It. He’s really incredible.”
