Prosecutors Handed Over the Remaining Evidence

On Monday, Judge Melville ordered the office staff of prosecutor Tom Esdon to hand over all remaining evidence to Jackson’s defense attorneys by December 6. Tom Esdon is also required to deliver to the defense attorneys a list of witnesses and evidence that could help prove Michael’s innocence. Judge Melville also instructed Michael’s defense attorneys to provide any evidence that, legally, must be made available to the prosecution team.

Another piece of news is that the trial may take up to six months—meaning two months longer than what had been estimated.

Susan Yu, one of the lawyers on Michael’s team, said: “Keeping a timeline of events is extremely important for the defense team because the date of the abuse that was revealed in December 2003 is different from the date that was stated in April 2004. These dates are different because the accuser’s family changed their story. They changed their story because they are not telling the truth. This shows that the accuser’s family lied. And that these allegations are fabricated and that Mr. Jackson is innocent.”
