Tom Sneddon responds to the accusations

Has the Santa Barbara district attorney abused his power in handling the accusations against Michael Jackson, and should he be removed from dealing with this case?

These are the questions that the prosecutor, in a text published on Friday, tried to answer.

Tom Sneddon has repeatedly been accused of harboring resentment toward him because of his failure in the 1993 accusations of sexual abuse of a 13-year-old boy against Michael.

Franklin, the representative of the Santa Barbara district attorney, claims that nothing like this is true.

Jackson's defense lawyers had suggested in a document that Tom Sneddon be removed from this case because, due to the personal grudge he holds against Michael, he is not qualified.

In the published response text, the following was stated against the accusations toward Sneddon: "It is logical that Tom Sneddon has no respect for Jackson. Sneddon believes he has credible evidence to prove Michael's guilt."
