Marlon Brando has died
On the first day of July, Marlon Brando died at the U.C.L.A. hospital due to a respiratory illness at the age of eighty. The ashes of this legendary actor were scattered in Tahiti and Death Valley, two of his favorite places.

A memorial service for Brando was held at the Hollywood producer Hal Meddawi’s home, with well-known faces such as Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty, and Sean Penn in attendance.
In the last months of his life, Brando had lost more than eighty-five pounds and needed a portable oxygen source to breathe, but he tried to appear healthy in public places.
Michael and Marlon Brando had met through Quincy Jones in 1980. Michael is the godfather of Marlon Brando’s nine-year-old granddaughter. The girl, named Prudence, is the daughter of Miko Brando, who has also had a long-standing friendship with Michael and works in Michael’s planning team.

Marlon Brando was one of Michael’s closest friends. He appeared in the video for “You Rock My World” and also attended as an honorary guest on stage at Michael’s 30th anniversary celebration as a solo artist.
He said about Michael’s relationship with his father: “My father really liked Michael Jackson. He met Michael for the first time in the early 1980s, and the last time he went out for a trip, Michael accompanied him.”
