Day Two of the Trial: Michael Jackson Pleads Not Guilty
In court, the judge asked Michael whether he accepts the charges against him or considers himself not guilty of them. In response, Michael declared himself not guilty.
Judge Melville also announced that another case had been added to Michael’s charges. The judge said that prosecutor Tom Sneddon had charged Michael with imprisoning the complainant and his family in Neverland, in addition to the seven counts of sexual abuse and the two counts of feeding alcohol that had been announced earlier.
The prosecutor alleges that these crimes took place in Neverland from February 1, 2003 to March 31 of that year, involving the complainant, who was 13 years old at the time.
The complainant is introduced in the court files under the aliases "John Doe" and his brother "James Doe." The prosecutor claims that the complainant’s brother witnessed some of these crimes.
The complainant is the same boy who appears hand in hand with Michael in the controversial documentary "Living with Michael Jackson." In the documentary, Michael states that he allowed the 13-year-old complainant and his 12-year-old brother to spend one night in his bed. But he also points out that he himself had slept in a sleeping bag on the floor.
As the evidence suggests, in fact, the documentary "Living with Michael Jackson" was the beginning of everything.
Several of Michael’s employees, named Vincent Amen, Frank Tyson, Dieter Weisner, Ron Konitzer, and Mark Schaffel, have also been accused of conspiring with Michael in imprisoning the complainant’s family in Neverland.
