Dick Gregory’s 40-Day Fast Ends in Protest of Michael’s Arrest

Dick Gregory, the 71-year-old artist, who had fasted for forty days in protest of Michael Jackson’s arrest and in order to support him, ended his fast today.

He said he is determined to do whatever it takes to prove that his friend is innocent.

During the past forty days, Dick Gregory had been eating only one gallon of water plus eight lemons dissolved in it, and a cup and a half of sugar syrup.

He also announced that he will take part in the ceremony of lighting candles and praying for Michael, which will be held in Los Angeles next week. He said: “If you believe he is innocent, join us and you will see that the truth will be revealed.”
