Michael’s official spokesperson, Mr. Stuart Backerman After the city key was presented to Jackson on Saturday, November 3, he sent the following message to his fans:

I just wanted to tell you about yesterday afternoon—it was so uplifting!
With the help of others, I received the city key from Mr. Goodman, the mayor of Las Vegas. Mr. Goodman is an amazing mayor for Las Vegas. He’s friendly, straightforward, and he loves Michael Jackson!
Michael, of course, arrived late (LOL), but he was in great spirits. And the crowd—what a crowd! MJ shook hands with the people and took a few photos and autographs, and then he arrived for the official ceremony, which was really nice. But after the ceremony, away from the crowd, Mayor Goodman told MJ how much he believes in him. He told MJ that he was very honored that Michael is coming to the city and is connecting with the people. He went on to say that MJ is one of the greatest people in the world, and he wanted his job to be to let everyone know how special MJ is.
And you believe it... then he asked Michael to give him a few tickets for the Radio Music Awards (for his daughter). I was like, “What?!” Anyway, I thought that maybe something you might never have heard about could be interesting for you."
