October 5, 2003 – Michael Receives an Award at the Radio Music Awards

At the annual Radio music awards ceremony, Radio Music Awards which will be held on November 5, is set to include a special award for Michael Jackson. While the radio promotions for this event, currently being broadcast in the United States, are announcing his presence, Michael’s spokesperson has said that this matter has not yet been confirmed 100%.

 

At this ceremony Avri Lavigne is the top nominee with five nominations in the 2003 Radio Music Awards. In the next category 50 Cent with Four, Eminem and Coldplay each have three nominations. This two-hour event, from 9:00 to 11:00 ET on November 5, will be broadcast live across the United States on NBC. These awards are given to honor the popularity of artists on radio networks nationwide. The selection of this year’s nominees is based on the amount of songs played, according to the statistics announced by Mediabase, the largest organization for measuring radio airplay. According to NBC at this ceremony, a number of the biggest figures from rock, country and mainstream music will take part in the program. In the past Elton John, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Mary J. Blige, Mick Jagger and Pink were among the people who showed up at the ceremony.
