Shahrivar 26, 1382 – Clarifications by Michael’s Spokesman About the New Album
Following Sony’s announcement about the release date of Michael’s new album, Jackson’s spokesman has released the following statement:
To the best fans in all of this big world,
On Tuesday, around 3 p.m., I received news with this message that Sony has released an announcement about the new MJ album, which included the full names of the songs, the name on the album cover, and its release time. Let me speak to you as clearly as a mirror: Sony did this “without” consulting Michael’s management team. Anyone can guess their reason, and I won’t waste your valuable time on this matter. However, I must emphasize that we are very upset about Sony’s unilateral action, because some of our decisions were not yet 100% finalized.
This morning early (I haven’t been sleeping much lately... LOL) I received another piece of news from Sony: they have decided to retract this announcement because their American branch had not made this clear to them.
"Please" be patient while we clarify a few things before the album is released—things that may change some of the information you received from Sony’s hasty announcement.
Another point: the charitable program Neverland was amazing at the end of last weekend. Michael was in a rare mood and he enjoyed it very much. At the final ceremony, in which donation checks were given to charities, members of Backstreet Boys started throwing pieces of Michael’s birthday cake. The only thing I can say is that up to that moment I had never laughed this much, because it was such a funny and spontaneous moment that it will surely become a memorable experience for everyone! If I want to tell you the truth, I must say the whole day was full of memories. I received dozens and dozens of thank-you messages from the guests, the media, and—most importantly—the fans who were present at the event.
With love and sincere thanks,
Stuart Backerman
