The Strokes’ New Album Draws Inspiration from Billie Jean

According to a report by the news website ANANOVA , the rock band The Strokes has recently revealed details about an album they have been eagerly waiting to release. The members of the band describe this album as "more mature" than their previous work, and say that it contains elements from the song Billie Jean by Michael. The band’s guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr. , in describing "Nightmare" (Nightmare — one of the eleven tracks on this album) said: "Maybe one of the most popular drum sounds is right here... it’s the kind of Billie Jean sound. We spent all this time making sure its sound is like a drum machine."  The new album by The Strokes is set to be released on October 9, 2003.
