Martin Bashir ranks 39th on England’s least influential people list

The English newspaper Daily Mirror has compiled a list of 100 of the least influential people who, despite having power, wealth, and fame—and also holding the highest positions—have the least impact on public opinion with their words. The newspaper, noting that other newspapers are focusing on listing the most influential people, describes its decision to publish a list of the least influential people in England as the first step of its kind. In this list Martin Bashir , the sensational reporter who gained false fame by destroying Michael’s image in his recent program, appears at number 39. Daily Mirror explains: “This self-centered television reporter can’t put himself aside, nor can he resist the adrenaline rush to interview Princess Diana. But his extreme tactics became clear when his latest victim, Michael Jackson, took revenge (and Bashir’s program was answered with a program built from videos taken by Michael’s camera, showing the characters of the two faces of Martin.)”
