Man In The Mirror on Siedah's Album

"Siedah," the new album by Siedah Garret, is set to hit the market on July 17, and there’s a good reason for Michael fans to take notes—because one of the songs on this album is her rendition of Michael’s classic track Man In The Mirror (Man in the Mirror). The song originally appears on Michael’s Bad album and was written by Siedah Garret and Glen Ballard. Siedah writes on her personal website about it:

"This song is truly special to me. Glen Ballard and I wrote it one afternoon after a work meeting with Quincy Jone at his home in Bel Air. I wrote the lyrics and gave them to Glen to work on, and then we went to his studio in Encino, sat down, and almost at once—almost miraculously—the music, the poetry, and the melody for the first verse and the chorus came together. Everything happened so quickly—we were even falling behind in the writing. We knew that afternoon was something special in us."
