A Special Guest at ”Mountain Message”

On 15 Esfand, a news item on the ORF website, Austria’s television network, announced that Michael Jackson will be a special guest at this year’s ”Mountain Message” ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, 24 Farvardin, in Id-Alpe in the town of Ischgl, Austria. It is said that Michael intends to perform a new song at the event together with a young Austrian choir, as part of his new charitable efforts as Children Helping Children. According to ORF’s report (in German), last year’s special guest was Bill Clinton, and the event was held in a smaller venue, but this year around 30,000 people will have the chance to see Michael in a larger outdoor space at an altitude of 2.2 km above sea level. ORF, which has not announced that Michael will perform, describes his role in the ceremony as ”Ambassador for the Children of the World.”
