Michael Jackson’s scary Thriller video beat Eminem and Madonna and was named the best music video clip by the people of the UK. When the Thriller clip was released in 1983, it was the first clip or short film that had an enormous budget for its production, using the newest techniques and cinematic special effects. Vikki Timmons, spokesperson for the music channel The Box, said: ”When Thriller was released in 1983, it achieved an incredible level of popularity and success, and it was far ahead of its time.
