The 46th Session — Former Employees of Michael Jackson Reject Their Maids’ Claims

In today’s court session, one of Michael Jackson’s former employees, who was called to the witness stand by his defense attorney, said that during his time working at Neverland he had never seen Michael behave inappropriately with the boys who were his guests.

He also rejected testimony from one of Michael’s former maids, who claimed she had seen Michael kissing and touching Macauley Culkin.

Francine Contreras, who worked at Neverland from 1991 to 1993, said that while she worked there with Adrian McManus, she had never heard McManus say anything bad about Michael.

McManus had testified as a witness for the prosecution in court that he once saw Michael kissing Macauley Culkin on the cheeks and touching him. He had also made this claim about several other boys.

Macauley Culkin, the star of the film “Home Alone,” who has maintained his friendship with Michael since the early years of his time at Neverland in the 1990s, has consistently rejected any allegations that Michael sexually abused him. It is possible that Culkin, 24, will be called to the witness stand by the defense attorneys.

By exposing McManus’s alleged fraud of more than $30,000 committed against three children, and by referring to another case in which McManus was fined $30,000 for stealing a drawing Michael had made of Elvis Presley and selling it to tabloid newspapers, the defense attorney had challenged his claims.

In today’s session, Contreras said that McManus had also stolen several toy water guns from Michael’s home.

Calling McManus a liar and a thief, she added that when she learned about her coworkers’ thefts from Neverland, she cut off her friendly relationship with him.

“He would take hats, underwear, watch bracelets, T-shirts, and many other items that belonged to Neverland,” she said. “He would put these items in a special clothing basket and take them to his house under the pretext of ironing.”

She continued: “There was a hat in that basket. A hat that you don’t iron.”

Violet Silva, the current security officer at Neverland, was another witness in today’s session. She also said she had never witnessed any inappropriate act by Michael toward boys.

She described the plaintiff and his brother’s behavior during their stay at Neverland as careless, saying they would wildly throw their juggling acts around Neverland and even once bumped into a drinking fountain.

The defense attorneys believe that the plaintiff and his brother would get out of control at Neverland, drink alcohol themselves, and look at obscene magazines. The prosecution claims that Michael gave these boys alcohol and showed them the magazines.

Silva said that if someone at Neverland felt trapped, they would not face any special problem in escaping from there.

The third witness of today’s session, Joseph Marcus, also weakened the prosecution’s claim that Michael’s plaintiff’s family was imprisoned at Neverland with his testimony.

He said he had never had the feeling that the plaintiff’s family stayed at Neverland against their will.

He said he had taken the plaintiff’s family out of Neverland twice. Once for shopping and once to go to a dentist’s office.

He continued that on none of these occasions did the plaintiff’s family make any attempt to ask for his help to escape or to inform others about the dangers they claimed were threatening them at Neverland.

He said that while the plaintiff’s family was shopping in a store, he waited for them in the car.

After the 46th session ended, Raymond Beene, Michael Jackson’s spokesperson outside the courthouse, told reporters that the trial would be over in at most six weeks. He also said that the “Home Alone” star, Macauley Culkin, would appear on the witness stand tomorrow to refute the prosecution’s allegation that Michael Jackson sexually abused him.

Regarding the possibility of Michael appearing on the witness stand, Raymond Beene said he would follow the advice of the defense attorneys.

“Michael wants the people of the world to know that he has never abused any child.”
