Seized Books From Neverland Shown to the Jury

Following Judge Melville’s approval, the prosecution showed the jury two books that had been obtained during a police search of Michael Jackson’s home in Neverland after sexual misconduct charges involving a young boy were brought against him in 1993.

In the case, prosecutor Ron Zonen claimed that 90 percent of the photos in one of these two books depict nude boys, and the other 10 percent of the book contains the same type of photos.

According to Rosible Smith, the police inspector who had retrieved these books from Michael’s bedroom in Neverland in 1993, the photos in these two books show boys playing, swimming, and jumping.

In court, the cover designs of these two books were shown to the jury.

The cover design of one of these two books, titled “Boys Will Be Boys,” shows a boy in swimwear jumping into the water.

Michael wrote the following on the first page of this book:

“Look at the real joy on these boys’ faces. This is childhood reality. A life I never had and always wanted. This is the life I want for my children.”

The other book, titled “The Boy: A Photographic Essay,” contains on its first page a handwritten dedication from one of Michael’s fans.

“To Michael from his fans Rhonda.” The date of this inscription goes back to 1983.
