Date Announced for a New Lawsuit Against Michael

On June 18 this year, the date set for hearing the complaint filed by the family of Manuela Gomez Ruiz against Michael and Marian Hospital will be announced.

In this lawsuit, submitted to the Santa Barbara court on February 15, 2005, the Gomez family claimed that hospital staff, because of Michael Jackson, had driven them out of their two-bed private room.

They accused Michael of abusing his fame.

Michael, who that year was involved in a trial regarding his charges, was taken to the mentioned hospital after catching the flu.

Ruiz, a 73-year-old citizen of Santa Barbara, was hospitalized due to a heart attack and died on the night of February 15, 2005.

Judge Rodney Melville will be in charge of the ruling in this case. The judge ultimately found Michael not guilty of the charges, based on the jury’s verdict.
