Michael Is Moving His Las Vegas Plans Forward

It seems that Michael is moving forward with his plans to return to the music world quickly and seriously. Michael spent his Friday night dinner with Kenny Ortega, the director and choreographer and an Emmy Award winner, in a private gathering in Las Vegas. Ortega had also worked with Michael as a choreographer during the History Tour nearly a decade ago. It has been reported that Michael also made a call to his mother and father, who live in Las Vegas. Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, had said in a phone conversation with the Review Journal on Saturday: “He called me and his mother on Friday.” After Michael left the United States and went to Bahrain, they haven’t met with him yet. Michael and Ortega also had discussions with Steve Wynn. Wynn is the person who turned Siegfried and Roy, the magicians who are now very famous, into multinational stars with a show at The Mirage. The friendship history between Wynn and Michael goes back to earlier decades. Michael was Wynn’s guest on The Mirage program, and there was even talk that Wynn intended to bring Michael to Las Vegas. Michael had introduced Wynn to his lawyers as a witness for his 2005 trial. Ortega’s works include the clip “Material Girl” by Madonna, the opening ceremony of the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, and the Atlanta Summer Olympics. Ortega has collaborated on tours with Barbara Streisand, Cher, Gloria Estefan, Diana Ross, the Pointer Sisters, and Kiss. Source: eMJey / Las Vegas Review Journal
