Is Michael Really in Las Vegas?
Roger Friedman once said that Malcolm X and Michael Jackson are two of his favorite subjects. So it’s no surprise that this time we read the news about Michael’s trip to Las Vegas in his own column.
Roger Friedman has heard from his special sources that Michael Jackson is currently in Las Vegas and is spending the Christmas holidays with his longtime friend, Prince Jeffrey of Brunei.
If the report is true, this would be the first time since November 2003—and after the formation of the court case over his allegations—that Michael has set foot in Las Vegas.
In June 2005, Michael left the United States for Bahrain. Prince Jeffrey, a multi-millionaire, has hosted Michael many times in his expensive hotels, including the Dorchester Hotel in London and the New York Palace.
According to Friedman, Michael’s father Joe Jackson, along with Michael’s half-sister, also lives in Las Vegas.
Eonline has also confirmed Michael’s trip to Las Vegas. According to the report from this news agency, Michael and his three children arrived in Las Vegas on Saturday of this same week.
Jack Wishna, a Las Vegas businessman and partner of the famous billionaire and Michael’s friend Donald Trump, confirmed the arrival of the King of Pop to the city, but did not reveal where he is staying or Michael’s purpose for the trip.
In an interview with the Review-Journal, Wishna said: “Yes, he’s here, and yes, we’re busy working on a few projects. But we don’t want to explain more about it.”
Trump and Phil Ruffin had invited Michael to perform at the opening ceremony of their Las Vegas hotel in March 2005, when Michael was still involved in the trial dealing with his allegations. The idea of having Michael Jackson perform live at the ceremony was suggested by Wishna.
After being acquitted of the allegations he faced, Michael went to Bahrain and then to Ireland. His father, Joe Jackson, and also his brother Jermaine said that he would never return to America because inappropriate things had been done to him.
According to Us Weekly, Michael is staying in a Spanish-style mansion in the west of Las Vegas together with 9-year-old Prince Michael, 8-year-old Paris Katherine, and 4-year-old Prince Michael II.
While calling Michael one of the biggest showmen in the world, Wishna promised that he would soon appear at the highest place in the music world.
