Access Hollywood interview with Michael (Part Two)

Imagine Michael Jackson remaking Thriller! When it comes to the best-selling album of all time (nearly 100 million copies worldwide), limits and boundaries become meaningless for Michael. Billy Bush, a reporter for Access Hollywood, asks EMJey: “What if he made the second part of Thriller?” Michael replied: “That’s a good idea… I haven’t really thought about it like that, but from now on I’ll think about it more.” Right now, Michael is thinking about creating—not remaking. And in this old Irish studio outside Dublin, with Will.i.Am, a member of the Black Eyed Peas, he is busy making music to bring his music to a new stage. Billy: “Is there something standout about the music you’re creating, or do you want to go with the flow—meaning to make dance and popular songs specifically for nightclubs, and develop that path more and more and make it stronger?” Michael: “I’m not sure.” Will: “I can answer that. One standout thing. Something is needed to bring shock back to the music industry—and the only thing that can do that is doubt. The energy that powered the creativity of kids like me and Justin Timberlake in the past. We’re all a product of that energy. So the only person who can bring that kind of doubt and momentum back into the music industry and create that incredible entertainment and strong music is the one who created it.” But what does Michael say about the artists who inspired him? Michael: “I think Justin does an amazing job, and so does Usher. And it’s enjoyable to see what they do. I’ve been impressed by their work, and I’m sure I’ve inspired them too.
