One of the famous rhinestone-studded crystal gloves of the King of Pop was part of Dick Clark’s memorabilia collection, and today it was displayed in New York for sale.
This is the same glove Michael wore in 1983 when he performed Billie Jean at the 25th anniversary of Motown.
Clark, who hosted the American Band Stand show for 50 years, has now decided—at the same time as announcing his retirement and with charitable intentions—to sell 100 pieces of his memorabilia, all belonging to superstars.
This collection also includes memorabilia from Elton John, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Mick Jagger, the Beatles, and James Brown.
It’s worth noting that Michael appeared at the American Band Stand television show’s 50th anniversary on April 21, 2002, and performed Dangerous twice in a row.
After the first performance, Clark told the audience that he wasn’t satisfied with the perfection of his performance and wanted to invite them to watch the second, better performance.
