Michael Changes His Team

As a first step toward rebuilding and changing his personal and business affairs, Michael Jackson cut ties with his former accountants and business managers: Glodman, Whitman, Fox, Bernstein, and Sloan, as well as his Bahraini lawyers: Qays Zubi and Grahame Nelson, and also Guy Holmes, the manager of the Gut Records company.

Michael also established the company Michael Jackson with the goal of gradually replacing MJJ Productions.

In another move, he changed Raymone Bain’s title from spokesperson to general manager, and hired L. Londell McMillan and the McMillan company—known for rebuilding and improving financial and business matters—to oversee legal issues related to his business affairs.

Mr. Jackson had previously announced his plan to produce a music album expected to be released in 2007. Michael’s recent trip to Japan was the first among a series of public visits planned for the future. He is also reviewing many proposals for holding a music tour and plans to begin that tour in the coming months.

Raymone Bain said in a phone conversation with the Associated Press that Michael has decided to go to Europe to gain access to people active in the music recording industry.

He added: “He is very serious about his music career. When you are a creative person and your sense of creativity is flowing again, and you decide to pursue new projects, you must ensure that no problem stands in the way of your management team.”

Mr. Jackson, who is currently in Ireland for a personal business matter, intends to relocate from Bahrain to Europe in the near future.

He is rebuilding his management team, and other members will also be appointed to it.
