Former Jackson 5 drummer is killed
The body of Johny Jackson, the former drummer of the Jackson 5, was found at his home in Gary yesterday afternoon.
At around 11:23 p.m. yesterday, a call was made to the Gary police department reporting a crime in the 2600 block of Connecticut Street. After arriving at the scene, police found Johny Jackson’s lifeless body with a stab wound in his chest.
Arnold, a witness who lives on the upper floor of the victim’s home, told police that the sound of an argument between Johny and a woman—who was an acquaintance of the victim—led him to bring the woman to his home, where he then encountered the body of his neighbor.
More information about this woman is not available.
Arnold also said that police think Johny Jackson was the first cousin of Michael Jackson. Before the Jackson 5 became big stars, they lived in Gary during the 1960s.
