Michael’s new song will be released soon
Sheikh Abd… bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Bahraini prince, told the Associated Press that Michael’s new charity song titled “I Have This Dream” will be released in late February.
During a phone interview conducted last week from Dubai, Sheikh Abd… told the Associated Press: “This song is amazing. We spent time completing and mixing it.” He said that this charity song, written by Michael to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf of Mexico, is “a message of peace, help, and empathy, and a song of unity and togetherness.”
Gospel artists, Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, Ciara, Keyisha Cole, James Ingram, Shanice, the pastor Shirley Caesar, and Jermaine, Michael’s brother, contributed to the song.
The Bahraini prince said the reason for the delay in releasing the song was the desire of more artists to appear on the charity track, but he did not reveal their names and said: “I want it to be a surprise.”
He also said: “This is the rain before the storm. He (Michael) is preparing himself for the release of many songs and tracks.”
Eddie Levert, a member of OJay’s, the legendary soul group, said: “James Ingram, Ciara, Snoop Dogg and Shirley Caesar were all there. Michael produced the song from Bahrain by phone. He spoke with Shirley Caesar. He spoke with James Ingram. He talked to everyone except me.”
He continued: “Overall, the song was produced really well. There’s a strong sense of gospel music in it. I think it will really be an amazing song. If it gets played on the radio, it can be a very successful track.”
Shirley Caesar also said: “Working with him on this project was an honor and a divine blessing. Michael is a real human being.”
